In the 1980s, a Barnhardt division named Carolina Beauti-Products began its rise to leadership in the professional salon business with the introduction of 100% cotton coil. Our expertise in cotton bleaching ensured that the raw material we used at the time -- and still use today -- meets the most stringent quality standards, resulting in the highest quality finished product possible. It is this sort of commitment that allows us to set the standard for quality for other manufacturers in the beauty industry.

As the market grew, so did the demand for a more diverse product line -- but with the same high standards of quality. Thus, Intrinsics was born. Introduced in 1999, the new line includes some of the same product options with the same exceptional quality, but also introduces more than 50 new products to accommodate the fast-growing spa and salon sectors. Intrinsics allows spas and salons to do something that they had never been able to do: consolidate all of their single-use product purchases into one source.

With Intrinsics, the industry's perception of single-use products has evolved from basic components of their business to an essential part of the client's satisfactory spa or salon experience. We believe that excellent products are intrinsic to helping the service professional truly pamper each client, and that attention to detail and quality is essential to every spa or salon experience.

The Intrinsics line includes long-time favorites like cotton coil, cotton balls, and earloop face masks, as well as leading-edge items such as medical-grade gauze pads and rolls. Spas and salons wonder how they've managed without some of these newer solutions that allow them to serve their clients so much more easily and efficiently. All told, Intrinsics offers products for a variety of services offered by hair stylists, nail technicians, and estheticians -- again, with the same attention to quality that made Carolina Beauti-Products a household name in the early 1980s.
